Time for AFC West questions, including: Will the Chiefs get competent play from Matt Cassel this year? And can Cory Liuget step up for San Diego?

Tom Gower continues an annual FO tradition of looking back at the draft from six years ago. Remember choosing between a spread quarterback from Texas and a dropback passer from USC? Yeah, that didn't work out.

Our long national nightmare is finally over, as Chris Mortensen has announced Peyton Manning will sign with the Denver Broncos, barring an unexpected contract talks snag per Adam Schefter. Schefter adds the Broncos will try to trade Tim Tebow.

Jay Glazer with some big unexpected news, reporting the Bears have acquired wide receiver Brandon Marshall from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for two third-round picks. Apparently the reports out of Chicago that the Bears were not the favorites for Vincent Jackson were on the money.
Marshall of course has a fairly successful history with Jay Cutler when they were in Denver together, and also fits Chicago's need for a big wide receiver. I have no idea what this means for Miami's pursuit of a shiny new quarterback.

Adam Schefter is reporting Randy Moss will make his return to the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, signing a one-year deal after his workout catching passes from Jim Harbaugh this morning.
Of the rumored destinations for a hypothetical Randy Moss who is fast and motivated, I thought San Francisco was one of those that made sense. As we saw during the NFC Championship Game, the 49ers receivers might as well not have been on the field.

Adam Schefter is reporting the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys will be docked salary cap space for front-loading contracts paid during the uncapped year in 2010. The Cowboys lose $10 million, while the Redskins lose $36 million. The teams may split the amount by which they were docked over 2012 and 2013. The other teams in the league, save the Saints and Raiders, will be re-allocated additional money under the cap.
I'm going to go away somewhere and figure this whole thing out, because it doesn't make much sense to me.

Adam Schefter is reporting the Kansas City Chiefs signed free agent cornerback Stanford Routt, formerly of the Oakland Raiders. The deal is apparently for 3 years, $20 million dollars. Routt also visited the Bills and Bengals. My assumption is Brandon Carr is now virtually a lock to hit free agency and Dwayne Bowe may get the franchise tag.
